Attention to fraud attempts!
We invite you to read this information related to scam attempts such as phishing, smishing and vishing which are increasingly widespread.
Some malicious actors pretend to be Auting and try to acquire – on the web – your personal and financial information by sending you sms, e-mails, making calls or using fake URLs.
Here’s how you can defend yourself:
1 – DO NOT provide your credentials: username, password, pin, OTP code
Auting will never ask you to provide your credentials through an e-mail, an sms or a phone call. So, should you receive a call from someone who if presented as Auting and asks you for personal data, do not consider it. Likewise, we will never ask you to transfer money to a bank account held by a third party.
2 – DO NOT click on links in communications that seem suspicious to you
Be inside the email or sms there are links that direct you to sites to request the insertion of your banking or credit card credentials, you do not click! In the meantime, the error message of grammar, translation or formatting is displayed, I will not take into consideration the communication.
3 – Pay attention to the sender’s address in the communications you receive
It is not enough that the sender is Auting, read carefully the content of the messages and what you are asked to do.
For example, Auting will never text you as an esthete: Attention: Unrecognized access to your account. Contact gives an operator to verify the entity of the problem.
4 – Be wary of those who ask you to install new applications
That applications could be used to gain control of your device.
